Resumo: |
The present study presents the content validity results of the Job Content Questionnaire (JCQ), accessed by servers of a federal institution of higher education. Among the 180 institution’s employees, 52 participated in the study. These subjects were considered as judges who evaluated the levels of clarity and relevance of the JCQ items and, when necessary, suggested adaptations to the set of items. The validity of the JCQ was accessed by calculating the content validity coefficient (CVC) for each item and for the total of the questionnaire. The JCQ presented evidence of content validity as suggested by acceptable levels of CVCs greater than 0.7 for criteria of clarity and relevance of the items. Among the 49 items of the JCQ, 13 items were adapted to the particularities of sampled institution. It is suggested that future studies further evaluate validity and reliability of the Job Content Questionnaire, such as predictive validity and test-retest reliability. |
