Resumo: The present study aimed to investigate how teachers of Rooms Multifunction Resources of the Municipal School of Canoas/RS, administer the theme of high abilities. This work is inserted in the line of research Teacher Formation Educational Theories and Practices of the Centro Universitário La Salle´s Course Master of Education. Regarding the methodology the research is qualitative and quantitative. To gather data a questionnaire was used organized by closed and open questions as well as through information collected while conducting a workshop on high abilities with teachers working in those spaces learning. The processing of the results was based on the analysis proposed by Bardin (2010) content. For reference and theoretical basis comprised the study the concepts of Renzulli (2004) focusing on the theory of the Three Rings and Gardner (2002-2012) emphasizing the concept of multiple intelligences. Regarding the training of teachers we sought to support the concepts of Nóvoa (2004) and Zabala (1998) and Tardif (2000) among others; both important in complementing the study of High abilities. Likewise we emphasize the relevance of the data found in the bank of CAPES´ dissertations and doctoral theses comprising the period from 2001 to 2011. Scope of this initiative was to thoroughly investigate other publications that address the high abilities. By results obtained we noticed possible the identification and implementation of projects paths to qualify teachers in question with regard to vocational formation with the core theme of the high abilities.
