This dissertation is a product of one Master Degree research in the Graduation Program on Social Memory and Cultural property of La Salle University Center, in Canoas-UNILASSALLE. The research lies on the field of Cultural Studies Management and its theme is the life of women performing the function of mistresses in Gaúcho Tradition Centers (CTGs). This topic causes a unique relationship between the woman and the woman in traditionalism in CTGs managing, recapturing rare historical records about female participation in these contexts. The research aims to analyze the general path, both personal and professional, of women who occupy the role of mistresses, identifying attributes of competence necessary to exercise this function, according to their views. The research generated four specific objectives: (a) writing about life paths of the women who occupy this function in Gaúcho Tradition Centers; (b) identifying, from the perception of the mistresses, ways to facilitate and ways that make more difficult to manage a Gaúcho Tradition Center; (c) showing which are the attributes of competence needed to manage, according to the reports of these mistresses; (d) developing a book about the experiences of these mistresses. It is classified as a qualitative research and it has used data collection, questionnaires, interviews, documents, analysis of quantitative data and Narratives. The result of this research concerning personal lives points up how much these women are different and how much they have created different strategies to solve their problems. It was also pointed up what facilitated and what make their management harder while they were in their positions. Some were related to CTGs context, even in the moment of their inauguration and some were related to their own capabilities. Their attributes of competence were listed and they will be used as a reference to a better understanding in the implementation of the ideas fulfilled by the mistresses. Currently, they are the maximum leaders in these institutions. At the end of this research, because it is a Professional Master Degree, it was chosen a book to be the final product of the research, available to the public in 2014. |
