Resumo: The Minha Casa, Minha Vida, has represented the world as one of the most relevant of the current issues in relation to construction projects for the low-income population. Projections indicate that by 2030, 40% of the world population will live in substandard housing, and about 25% simply do not have anywhere to live. The housing problem in Brazil today has a deficit of 5, 546 million households, and about 11 million homes already built without adequate infrastructure. Although the vast majority of this deficit is concentrated in population track with monthly household incomes up to three minimum wages, housing policy in Brazil traditionally favored the construction of housing units for the most wealthy class. This case study was to describe the reports of the resident of the locality of the Jardim das Maragaridas in relation to changes that occurred locally after the construction of the housing units of the Minha Casa, Minha Vida. This type of research is intended to characterize the main spatial changes in the Garden of Daisies. To meet the proposed objectives was undertaken with a questionnaire with a group of 100 residents in the neighborhood of the Jardim das Margaridas, located in the city of Salvador. As the question of describing the location of the resident's accounts in relation to the transformations that have occurred locally after the construction of the housing units of the Minha Casa, Minha Vida. It was found that 90% of respondents reported problems with the safety in the locality associated in their speech worsening security post housing the Housing Project. A portion of respondents can characterize the changes in the neighborhood of daily life after the construction and housing of the development and evaluation of the perception of local residents in areas that received projects for low-income population, are the main factors critical to the structure aimed for this purpose. It is a land to be further explored in the academic literature and is expected to contribute this work to enlarge the findings on this topic.
