Peace Culture: people who lead peace program, a possible dream? It tries to answer for the following question: Might the theoretical understructure which has been called Piece Culture be implemented in Brazil through practice, operational and organized way as an innovation tool of public policies linked to public security based on such a program? The goal has been to assess such a program as a tool of promotion of peace culture and its expansion in order for this program become itself a national one by trying to be an improvement for the public security. Its aims have been: Analyzing the violence in environmental, social and personal life which has been linked to war culture; explaining the process of implementation of Peace culture by linking to the action in environmental, social and personal level through transdisciplinary holistic approach; identifying the difficulties which have been faced for the implementation of a peace culture with policies through public power linked to public security; organizing the empirical process through practice experience lived in such a program by suggesting solutions via public policies in order to implement the Peace Culture. The used method has been the phenomenological one or the lived science, that is, the dynamic of each person which should not be measured quantitatively. The peace term means the whole thing according to Greek that is why the Peace Culture has had three ecologies: the personal, social and environmental peace which have had organizations and projects. It is fundamental to have public policies linked to security for the human development. Such a program has been crucial nowadays for the humanity future as well as all the societies all over the world. The peace without action is stagnation. Such a research has revealed in the empirical part that the interviewed people (Peace Agents) have become more aware of their citizenship, their self-steem has reported improved and their consciousness level has been more open to a new comprehension of their environmental, social and personal responsibility as well as the peace kit has helped them to have more courage, proud and power. |
