Resumo: |
This paper aims to understand whether the quality of life programs and employee recognition, meet the expectations of employees. The design of each of these elements was supported on a theoretical foundation that contextualized practices of quality of life at work and recognition of people from the practices adopted by the Company under study, and assess whether these practices are influenced by the results of satisfaction surveys applied, responding to the problem: are the quality of life programs and recognition adopted by the Company in the period 2007-2013 satisfactory under the vision of workers? If so, what is the magnitude of their satisfaction? We studied the practices of quality of life and recognitions adopted by a petrochemical company established in the Industrial Complex of Camaçari /BA, with a total of 656 electronic questionnaires collected, and involving on average 46.6 % of the employees. The electronic questionnaire included: 11 structured items relating to quality of life, such as Christmas baskets, choir, commemorative events, sports guild, private pension plan, fitness program in the company, running group, encouraging fitness for firefighters, encouraging physical activity for all employees, life insurance and loan; in addition to these, 03 questions were included on the items that the company declares that it recognizes the actions of its employees, such as: Company honors for service time, award for ideas and innovations deployed and voluntary program. At the end of the questionnaire it was added an open question for the participant to freely express his/her comments and explain his/her views about the Company. This case study reveals how are the levels of employee satisfaction regarding each of the aspects studied and how they behaved to each search, to the present day. It was observed the importance of disclosure of benefits and practices. |
