Resumo: |
This work is the result of a theoretical and empirical research in order to know the contribution of the Scientific Initiation Program FAPESB for the formation of human capital in Bahia universities. This paper addresses the importance of scientific research for economic and social development, and provides an overview of public policies to promote science, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship. This is a descriptive study, with the problem of approach classified as qualitative and quantitative. Data were obtained directly from the participating universities PIBIC/FAPESB and in the academic curricula of CNPq platform, the Lattes Platform, which provides freeform curricula of teachers, students and researchers. The second stage of the research, qualitative, was performed using the survey method, where a sample of graduates of the program answered a questionnaire of 41 questions. Despite the significant portion of non updated resumes in CNPq base, which can demonstrate an evasion of the graduates of academic career, the results achieved with the methodology showed that there is a significant contribution from the training of skilled human capital for universities, as was also the considerable number of scholarships that after the end of the activity, joined in a graduate program and completed his academic training in time equal to or lower than that established by CAPES. It follows, too, that there was some absorption of these graduates in the Bahia universities as teachers and researchers and the program in general was well evaluated for its contribution to the formation of new researchers teachers. |
