Resumo: |
This work presents a study on the harmonic distortion that occurs in a telephone system on the self-generation system, caused by non-linear loads, particularly the AC-AC converter. The concern of utilities and consumers with the quality of power supply were considered to be relevant to the choice of theme. With respect to a telephone system and in addition to losses known as Joule effect, it becomes important to control the distortions associated with any electromagnetic interference. Within the theoretical context, study summaries already made on the harmonic distortions, some with proposed solutions are presented. However, there are no studies on harmonic components of current in self-generation of telephone exchanges systems. That is the reason of the motivation to carry out the analysis of distortion and its possible consequences on the equipments of a large telephone company. Results of the field research are shown with a comparative study of the harmonic content associated with the power utility and the associated self-generation system. Finally, proposals are made not only to deepen the research but also to reduce the impact of increased distortions by the expected increase in the amount of non-linear loads, which include the implementation of three-phase passive filters that were viable as simulations with MATLAB. |
