The objective of this study is to analyze the participation of women as workers in the years 2010 and 2014, in Salvador, when they worked on the construction of the Arena Fonte Nova football stadium. The time frame is due to the effervescent period experienced by the sector with stadium construction work for the Football World Cup 2014. The study used as the main source of research interviews with women who worked in the construction of the Arena Fonte Nova. In his answers checked relevant issues to work in capitalist society, to the erosion produced by the system and to gender relations that are established in the production segment, as aspects of the informal economy, overcoming barriers and prejudices, noting the complementarity between men and women given the changes in the new millennium. |
