Resumo: |
One of the biggest challenges of the Brazilian government and society is to establish policies which promote social and economical development, with the objective to create jobs and income for the poorer population. A great majority of the small informal entrepreneurs does not have access to the official system of credit, more so for financing production, due to not being able to meet the needs of guarantees required by the financing banks. In lieu of this, the challenge which is evident is the development of adequate tools and strategies to meet the specific needs of these small entrepreneurs and that they be effectively capable of supplying financial micro services, especially credit to the low income public. Micro credit, through the use of specific methodology (solidary guarantee, credit agents, among others) resulting in a combat alternative to poverty. The purpose of this study was to show empiric evidence of improvement in quality of life of low income people, resident in Itabuna, through research done on these families who were benefited by the Banco do Povo Instituição Comunitária de Crédito Itabuna Solidária. (People s Bank Institution of the Solidary Community Credit of Itabuna). The results indicate social-economic improvement, through empiric evidence, of the families who were benefited by this program. |
