Resumo: |
The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of a resynchronization protocol, in the rate of pregnancy in mixed breed cattle; used as embryo recipients. This study was conducted on a farm in the southeastern part of Minas Gerais – Brazil, and it was divided into two experiments:Experiment 1: It had the purpose of evaluating the efficiency of the administration of - 1mg estradiol benzoate (BE) on the synchronization of cycle waves and follicular development. Therefore, 40 mixed breed cows were divided into two groups; G1 – received 1mg of estradiol benzoate; While G2 – received 1ml of physiologic serum. The follicular development was observed through ultrasound imaging, proved to be efficient in (95%) of the synchronization and follicular and development.Experiment 2: 275 in vitro embryos (PIV) were developed using Gir (BosTaurosInducus) oocytes and Holstains cattle sexed semen. The embryo transfers were synchronized through a protocol of embryo transfer in fixed time (TETF). Day 0: insertion of progesterone implants DIP (Prociclar – Brazil), added to 0,5mg Estradiol Benzoate (BE) IM; Day 8 – Removal of DIP implants and administration of 0,5mg of Estradiol Cypionate CE (IM) and 0,15mg of D Cloprostenol on the day of the embryo transfers ( D17) – All recipient animals were examined through ultrasound (Middray – M5). Fourteen days after the embryo transfer (TE) the animals were randomly divided in two groups: G1 ( n 137) began the protocol of resynchronization with the insertion of the DIP implants and the application of 1mg Estradiol Benzoate (BE), and the animals from G2 (n 138) were not treated. This procedure was developed to evaluate the effects of the application of estradiol in the beginning of the pregnancy. Eight days later, all recipients were once again evaluated through ultrasound for diagnose of pregnancy. On the pregnant recipients of G1 only the DIP implants were removed, while the non pregnant recipients received 0,5mg of CE, and 0,15mg D-Cloprostenol IM and the implant (DIP) was also removed. Ten days later these animals were evaluated again, and those found capable were unovulated. On G2 was established a second TETF protocol beginning just after the confirmation of non pregnancy. It was compared to X² the rate of pregnancy after first and second embryo transfers and the number of pregnant recipients on 30 and 45 days. The rate of pregnancy after the first embryo transfer (TE) presented no difference between the groups (p>0,05 – 47,8% vs 45,1% for G1 and G2 respectively). Therefore we can conclude that the protocol of resynchronization does not interfere in the maintenance of early pregnancy in recipients and can anticipate a pregnancy, allowing the recipients to become pregnant in a short period of time. |
