Resumo: |
This study aims to investigate the set of changes occurirng in the context of higher educatio in Brazil from 1994 to 2008, studying in parallet the process of professionalization of a particular University if common characterisitcs. The approach of the study was qualitative, which consisted of bibliographic complemented by case study based on field research, observation and interviews with key actors of the research institution. It was conclued that the two govermments existing in the period contributed to the expansion and retention of educational institutions that were prepared for legislative changes, with flexibility and speed to adapt to new rules. In this context, the University searched resorted to mechanisms with a view to business and professional, from the entrepreneurial vocation of their managers kept the extensions of the growth in student numbers and courses offered and managed in 2008, winning the second place among the private universities in the State of Rio de Janeiro. |
