Resumo: |
Based on the premise that violence is a social construction that occurs in the middle of a set of relationships and interactions between individuals, this study aimed to identify the social representations of students about gender violence. The research becomes of great relevance for the perception of the increase in violence in school daily life, when verifying the increase in violence in school daily life, weakening the social function of the school, which in most cases does not know how to solve existing conflicts or treat them as a routine process, disregarding their consequences. The chosen area for the research is CIEP 200 - Professor Terli Fioravante da Rocha, which is a school unit belonging to the State Department of Education and located in the neighborhood of Miguel Couto, in Nova Iguaçu, in the Baixada Fluminense. The choice for the school was due to the marked traditional aspect that permeates the pedagogical practice of the institution, which is recognized in the neighborhood by content feature rarely developing works with emphasis on complex subjects, such as gender violence. This is a descriptive and exploratory research, with a qualitative approach. The Theory of Social Representations, developed by the French theoretician Serge Moscovici (2003) was the theoretical contribution used in the work, to survey the impressions of the subjects studied, because this theory tries to enter into the subjects' everyday life and to filter the syntheses between the cognitive and the Social. The chosen data collection technique consists of questionnaires and collective interviews in the form of talk wheels with the participation of 10 students aged 14 to 17 enrolled in High School. For the analysis of the data, in the quantitative phase, we used statistical resources and the qualitative data, the categorization technique present in the content analysis method, as suggested by Joan Scott, Pierre Bourdieu, Judith Butler, Michel Foucault, Stuart Hall, Heleieth Saffioti, Guacira Lopes Louro, among other scholars that will allow us to understand a little more about the complexity of the phenomenon of gender violence. The results of this research point to the naturalization of violence, associated with disbelief in the judiciary. The result of the questionnaire application showed that most of the students believe that the creation of the Maria da Penha Law plays an important role in combating and preventing gender violence. |
