Resumo: |
The market professional in the role of a teacher in the Marketing Technique Course at UNIGRANRIO University, is the focus of this study. We find that besides the theory, the teacher builds up knowledge both from their market practice and personal life experience that can contribute, in a decisive way, in the formation of their students as subjects of transformation in the market where they wish to work. We intend therefore, to analyze the academic practice of the market professional in the Marketing Technique Course at UNIGRANRIO. Fifty per cent of those who teach specifically at the Marketing Technique Course at “Universidade do Grande Rio” (UNIGRANRIO) were heard and that accounts for 2 teachers who have a concomitant trajectory in the areas about which they teach. The data was collected from interviews which were taken at the UNIGRANRIO campus in Duque de Caxias. The experience of the market professional in the role of a teacher, according to their narrative, invited us to reflect upon the practice of other teachers who we have entitled as reference teacher: The values present in the teachers’ practice, the relationship between them and the teaching, the teacher and the market experiences, the practice as a differential feature and the trajectory to teaching, built through practice and theory. We have concluded that for the market professional, the teaching happens within the relationship between the theoretical-academic knowledge and the knowledge acquired through the market practice. The teacher is the one who can present the theory that supports the daily work activities if he experiences or has experienced its dynamics. In this sense, a market professional represents an opportunity of complementary contribution in the way a student graduated from a technique course will perform in his/her profession. The point is not to deny the relevance of the theory in the institutional learning process, but to state the effective contribution provided by the market practice to the teaching process. |
