Marco Pereira (1950), guitarist and composer, also plays an important role as arranger for guitar solo, duos, trios, quartets, and also with diverse formations. Arrangements that contribute to the expansion of the repertoire of the guitar with songs of the Brazilian genre. This work sought to understand the elaboration of arrangements of popular songs for solo guitar by Marco Pereira, analyzing how he conceives the musical elements existing in other arrangements of the "interpoetic network" (NASCIMENTO, 2011) and those that are elaborated by him. It was also sought to analyze the procedures most adopted by Pereira in their arrangements, which in theory cover their different musical fronts as arranger.
