Resumo: During congenital Toxoplasma gondii infection, gestation in the murine model can be considered responsible for placental / uterine proliferation, thus requiring a regulatory immune response to prevent resorption or abortion of the embryo. The heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) is an enzyme that catalyzes the oxidation of heme to generates products which present anti-inflammatory, cytoprotective and antiapoptotic effects and, is involved in the success of gestation. The present work aimed to investigate the effect of HO-1 induction (CoPPIX treatment) or inhibition (ZnPPIX treatment) on the gestation of two mouse lines, a statement by the resorption rate, BALB / c and another high presentation. resorption rate, C57BL / 6 mice under early pregnancy infection. To this end, as they were infected on the day of vaginal volume detection, no onset of pregnancy, and examined on day 8 of infection, or infected on day 14 of pregnancy and examined on day 19 of pregnancy, where the expression of HO mRNA -1 was tested. The period of detection of the vaginal diseases were infected with CoPPIX or ZnPPIX, thus being evaluated the 8th day of infection. HO-1 expression was higher on day 8 of pregnancy and T. gondii infection than on day 19 of pregnancy and 5 of infection. CoPPIX treatment improved the sense of toxoplasmosis and congenesis as mouse strains and as hemorrhagic areas induced by ZNPPIX treatment in BALB / mice was not absent from the parasitic burden. Thus, the result of the results was an induction of HO-1 to develop congenital toxoplasmosis in a line of mice with a high resorption rate.
