Resumo: The large number of refunding request for electrical and electronic equipment damages has attracted the attention of the electric utilities, consumers, regulatory and other government agencies. Such concerns are not associated only with the financial contents involved, but especially with the social impacts associated to requests, decisions, conflicts and other issues involving the relationship between utilities and their consumers. Therefore, this theme has been encouraging investigations aimed at improving the process of the refunding request analysis throughout the correlation between the disturbances and effects and the equipment withstand capability to typical disturbances in electric system and this has produced the APR software. Within this scenario comes to this dissertation which aims to propose ways to include the well-known air conditioner split type equipment in the referred program. The main subjects focused in this work are directed to: the mathematical model proposition to represent the focused equipment, its implementation in the ATP platform and APR software, the model validation through laboratory experiments and, at the end, the investigation of typical electrical system occurrences and the possibility of equipment damage in accordance with the refunding request procedures.
