Resumo: The Education, part of the fundamental rights guarded by the Constitution, is one of the public policies most required by the society which stands for the quality in the provision of these services by the Public Administration, desiring the educational system as a hole and, specially, in this research, the technique and technological education, provides, in fact, a quality education. The coverage of this reality settles foundations in the people that compose the structure capable to execute a planning as an inductor of the public policies of education. For this, it is necessary the elaboration and the adoption, in the institutional planning, of performance indicators focused on people management as an instrument to enable the monitoring, control and evaluation of the results obtained by the organizations. Know to evaluate and how to evaluate people inside the institutions of professional education is the setting in which the investigations is processed and, in front of this context, the present research is engaged to analyze and propose a validated model of people management indicators, based in the Institutional Development Planning (PDI) of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Triangulo Mineiro (IFTM), through the contrast of the managers visions of the area assigned in the Federal Institutes of Education (IFEs) belonging to the Federal System of Professional, Scientific and Technological Education (RFEPCT). The investigation is characterized as a qualitative research with exploratory-descriptive character. For the data collection, beyond the documental analyses, it was used the Delphi politic method. It was found, at the end, not just the suitability of the people management indicators in use in IFTM, but, also, it was possible to realize, from the literature revision, the association of them with theoretically referred indicators, and present as product a proposal validated model of performance indicators specific for the people management area in federal institutions of education.
