Resumo: | The present work aims to analyze what is presented in five annual thematic editions of the Jornal da UFU (JU) on the TV Universitária of Uberlândia from 2018 to 2022 regarding the "Blue November" campaign. Based on film analysis, which interprets visual and auditory elements, an analysis is conducted on the representations present in the newscasts that shape the subjective and historical concept of masculinities through the specificities of educational journalism, particularly within University TVs, which differ from the commercial journalistic model adopted in Brazil. The participants (characters, specialists, and journalists) help us understand the health, diversity, and care contexts for individuals with prostate-related issues, highlighted during the "Blue November" campaign and disseminated through the media. In this sense, they lead us to the development of a guide, containing a terminological glossary that provides precise definitions and guides the production of content related to the universe of masculinities, prostate cancer, and their social relationships within communication and educational environments, aiming to avoid the inappropriate use of language that could perpetuate stereotypes or marginalize specific groups. |
