Resumo: This research, entitled “Extensive Clinic and Therapeutic Function: ruptures of fields in a Music Workshop”, aimed to investigate and analyze whether the Therapeutic Function can occur, under the perspective of Fabio Herrmann's Multiple Fields Theory, in a Music Workshop that takes place in a Center for Coexistence and Culture belonging to the Mental Health Network of a municipality in the State of Minas Gerais. We sought to identify whether it is possible to use the psychoanalytical method by rupture of fields during Workshops, that is, in the daily activities of repertoire selection, dialogs, essays and presentations. To this end, the psychoanalytical method of investigation and research was used, while qualitative was were obtained through observations and audio recordings of the activities performed by the Music Workshop from October 2019 to March 2020. The reports of observations and the audio transcripts were analyzed by means of four levels of analysis, using the floating attention and free association techniques, that is, the contents were clinically worked, using Psychoanalysis as a theoretical reference, and in particular, Fabio Herrmann's Multiple Fields Theory, with emphasis on the concepts of Therapeutic Function, Extensive Clinicand Interpretation by Fields Rupture. At the end of these analyzes, common links were verified and, as a nomenclature for these conducting wires, the expression “fields of meanings” used by Herrmann (1993) was chosen, who explains that the analytical dialog runs on fields of meanings, although its objective is to promote rupture of these fields, to study their constitution. Each field of meaning highlights the relative unconscious that predominated in some situations and dialogs. Thus, the analysis and discussion of the data were made from the construction of five fields of meanings, namely: The saga of the radio; Tuning: the Music Workshop and its group constitution; The fear and pleasure of going on stage; The choice of a repertoire can be revealing; Our strange madness. Based on these analyzes, it can be seen that the psychoanalytical method by rupture of fields could be used at several moments during the Workshops and, therefore, it is considered that the Therapeutic Function within the so-called Extended Clinic occurred. Furthermore, when the articulation between psychoanalytic interpretation and musical interpretation was performed, both Psychoanalysis and music enabled the production of language, subjectivity, transit through new representations of reality and identity, the development of affective and social bonds, as well as new directions for the Workshop participants' lives. Finally, it is also observed that the rupture of fields and the experiences lived in and with the Workshops could generate important resonances in the users‟ lives, in terms of strengthening the socialization process, autonomy, citizenship, affective bonds, and interpersonal and group relationships.
