Resumo: The increasingly frequent use of social media as sources of information has been one of the hallmarks of contemporary societies. In this sense, we assume that digital profiles for the academic context can lead to content sharing and scientific dissemination for non-specialized audiences, which is consistent with our general research objective: the development of a guide for sharing academic content from Postgraduate Programs (PPGs) through social media, notably on Instagram or Facebook. This is due to the importance of creating users in these media for the dissemination of activities carried out by students, teachers and administrative technicians, whose perspective includes several aspects, such as the presentation of academic works, events of the institution, among others. Thus, the present investigation presents concepts and the methodology proposed for the elaboration of the mentioned product, with a descriptive, bibliographical and documental nature, in addition to the qualitative approach in an interdisciplinary vision on the areas of technologies, communication and education; and documentary research based on laws, opinions, resolutions, among others. The methodological procedures refer to the bibliographic review carried out by consulting the Scopus databases, the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and the Web of Science. In this case, we reflect on the texts of Prado and Correa (2016), Schefer, Bezerra and Martinez Zaina (2018), Maciel and Trevisol Neto (2019), Cunha, Rodrigues and Pimentel (2019) and Brandão (2021), in addition to performing the analysis of similar products and the planning of the product itself. As a result of this study, this guide was developed based on the researched literature, in which the material has the differential of providing suggestions for posts, sizes of figures, among other aspects, under the premise that we can facilitate and speed up the work of the manager of social media – which can range the sector intern or another collaborator – in the elaboration of diverse contents.
