Aplicação do SRQ20 e protocolo de avaliação psicológica em pacientes com hanseníase

Resumo: An observational, cross-sectional, in order to identify emotional characteristics of 130 patients with leprosy. Applied instruments: Psychological Assessment Protocol (PAP) and questionnaire for identification of Common Mental Disorders (CMD), Self-Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ-20). 31.53%, 23.8% and 16.9% reported childhood, adolescence and adulthood unsatisfactory, respectively, the following results were found in PAP. Feel fear being discriminated against 31.53%; 16.9% experienced discrimination. Drastic life changes due to leprosy 13.07%; 29.23% with low self-esteem, 31.53% have real fear and 22.3% phantasmic fear. Regarding the emotional phase of illness, 31.53% were in the stage of acceptance, bargaining 23.1%, 25.15% and 10% denial revolt. In the SRQ-20, the prevalence of CMDs was 32.3%, the majority being female, low education (primary education), married, with low self-esteem, the stage of bargaining and drastic change in life. This is one of the few studies on the psychological profile of patients with leprosy demonstrating the importance of the application of investigative technologies in order psychopathological screening adherence to treatment and psychotherapy planning, in addition to providing support for reflection about the comprehensive care for leprosy patients and the importance of psychologists in health teams.
