Resumo: Motherhood has been built over the years under various discourses that go beyond female experiences. Social, political, economic, and scientific aspects influence the mothering of women and dictate how they should act to be considered good mothers. Realizing the need for an opening for dialogue to occur between women-mothers and science, we propose in this work to understand how scientific dissemination can contribute to practices and care related to motherhood, considering the experiences and individual specificities of these women. In this way, we seek to understand: how could the podcast media present itself as a tool for scientific dissemination of themes related to motherhood and motherhood? We developed the podcast “A Mãe no Meio” because of this inquiry, a pilot episode in a documentary format, which uses narrative techniques to present the stories of women-mothers who have experienced breastfeeding and the practices and scientific data that experts present during the process. episode. This work provides ideas for science communicators to understand the breadth of formats that podcast media offers for science communication.
