Resumo:	This research investigates the question of the virtue, in the tomasian perspective, analysing the Quaestiones disputatae De virtutibus (q.1 and q.5), comparing with Summa Theologiae (I-II, q.55-67), intending to demonstrate the relevance of the question of virtue, in tomasian sense, for the contemporary ethic. Thus, we performed a historical journey into the life and work of Thomas Aquinas, as well as his conception of virtue, considering the approach of the issues mentioned. Finally, we set out to investigate the timeliness and relevance of ethical thought of Aquinas.
