Popular piety has served as a framework for much research on the rural economy, in that context the festivities held around the Folia de Reis have revealed that a religious practice is much more than living in the few days of celebrations. Individuals who compose it have an identity and a pace of life that goes far beyond what is presented on feast days. The affirmation of identities from religious bias can point to great complexities in the social formation, each individual relate differently to their beliefs. That\'s because the religious experience implies the existence of very special forces, because the list of credulity are added many individual practices and piety aimed towards these practices. Accordingly, it is proposed to understand the main issues Folia de Reis held annually in Comunidade Cruzeiro dos Martírios, in the municipality of Catalão (GO), located approximately 90 km from the district headquarters and 20 km from the district of Santo Antônio do Rio Verde. The community has about 70 homes and an average of 200 residents. Their religious festivities gone through many readings over the past three decades. Understanding this in Folia de Reis symbolic universe allows us to understand the institution of cultural practices that are linked to traditions linked to particular groups as well as realize the different places through which it circulates.
