Resumo: | This work has the objective of evaluating the quality of water in the Uberabinha subbasin that covers the cities of Uberlandia, Uberaba and Tupaciguara. The collection of water samples were carried out in two distinct seasons:. Dry (May and July) and rainy (September and November) of 2015 and the samples were taken in 06 points from the source to the mouth of the Rio Results the physico-chemical analysis of water indicated in the analyzed points, the upper limit established by law for the following parameters: DO, BOD, COD, turbidity, total phosphorus, iron, ammonia nitrogen, fecal coliforms, and for heavy metals Cd Cu, Pb, Cr, Zn. The values of the sample tests were interpreted on the basis of individual acceptance limits for each substance in each class, ensuring compliance with the quality standards of water established by Resolution 357 of CONAMA (2005). To assist the interpretation of the results of physical-chemical and bacteriological water, the study area was mapped as the use and occupation of land. This mapping has identified the presence of 62.9% of the anthropic use, 24.4% of natural vegetation cover 12.54% of reforestation with exotic species and 0.16% occupied by water bodies. Although the main land use be for anthropic use, especially agriculture, the classification of the Water Quality Index (AQI) shows that the sub-basin of the Uberabinha, the sampled points was classified within the range considered good. This evaluation of physical, chemical and biological characteristics of water Uberabinha, combined with geoprocessing techniques, provided better knowledge of the environmental conditions of the study area and the results obtained can be used as primary data sources to promote environmental planning and management local and regional. |
