This work provides a quick approach to initial concepts of calculus, analysis, and onedimensional discrete dynamical systems, presenting various examples and applications. Based on these examples, six didactic sequences were developed that address dynamical systems and geometric progressions, one of which was adapted to the requirement of first-year high school students where it was applied. We report the results obtained from the application of this didactic sequence, which were remarkable as there was an improvement in student learning as well as incentive of their involvement and interest in Mathematics.
