Resumo: | The present master's work had as its practical objective the construction of an installation in which the main reference for its creation was the exploration of the light element. The poetic motivation to work with this element in the field of Art came from the universe of spirituality, specifically, from experiences with spiritual visions, from which there was a theoretical-reflexive deepening of the contacts with the beyond. This experience was analyzed from the point of view of religiosity and science, especially in the context of the mediumistic trance and the Near Death Experience (NDE). Thus, the research of light as object of study was investigated both in the visual / plastic aspect and in its symbolic aspect. The iconographic search for light, especially for visual perception, was due to the realization that its visualization is attributed to the presence of a higher or celestial being, that is, the connection of light with the idea of the sacred. The data collected in this medium directed the investigative directions to what was understood as formal variations attributed to the visuality of the manifestations of light - what I called ambiguity of the form. This characteristic was the essential point for the plastic creation of the installation and for the theoretical interlocutions. The constructive process of this research was not limited to a form of static representation, seeking in the ambiguity of its form or its mutability, a form of signification for this universe, in which the main synthesis of the work was to understand that I deal with an image in transformation whose manifested form can oscillate between figuration and abstraction. As a result of these theoretical-plastic investigations was performed the installation Presence of the "Invisible", built from the combination of transparent sculptures with flashing lights, interaction that resulted in a play of light, shadow and projections. As a consequence, it is worth mentioning that as a compositional resource, the light was worked with the sculptures and through this association the shade and the projection of images were also evidenced.
