The street is an open space structuring the city’s form, and has properties that vary according to the form of occupation, transformation processes, hierarchy in the road system and the social contexts of each city. The morphological analysis of commercial streets makes it possible to understand part of the urban dynamic of cities, and the new centralities that have been constituted and configured. The dispersion of commercial activities in the intra-urban space creates sub-centers, and these have their own morphological structures that characterize new centralities on an intra-urban scale, usually by important commercial road axes. The objective of this work is to analyze the morphological elements: roads, plots and buildings, that configure the main streets of the five recognized sub-centers in the city of Uberlândia, Brazil, using for that metrics parameters of reading of the urban space and comparison between the different streets. Morphometric analysis was used as a methodological process, from the quantitative analysis and cartographic production of the following parameters: permeability, walkability, granulometry, accessibility and diversity. Through the quantitative analysis of the parameters, it is possible to assess the configuration patterns for each street, and the morphological characteristics that structure and define the landscape of this typology of streets in Uberlandia.
