Resumo: Serious games have been the subject of scientific studies regarding their use for educational purposes in children with autism. Unliketraditional games, they are played with a view to seeking the player's intrinsic motivation. Several researches seek to delineate cognitive and emotional aspects that contribute to the generalization of the learning acquired in games. This systematic review aimed to analyze the efficacy of serious games for children with autism, along with a qualitative survey of the educational and psychological aspects present in them. Twenty-five articles were found, 13 of which were exploratory studies and 12 with comparative statistical analysis. Of the latter, 11 had some kind of statistically significant result regarding the educational objective of the game. It was found that the cognitive aspect of incremental learning is predominant in this type of game, but the motivational aspects are also important. Finally, the limiting factors for the use of these games for the public with autism are discussed.
