Resumo: | The proposed research in question that is inserted in the perspective of New Cultural History, is based on the relationship between imaginary and cultural representations, focusing on aspects such as family, daily life, the approach of the media (Última Hora) with Vargas politician power (1951-1954). The objective of this research is to realize the aspects of honor and morality in Brazil, with the backdrop of the historicity of Nelson Rodrigues narrative and his journalistic look, concerning the context of relationships in the golden years (1950-1964), portrayed in his chronic-tales, in the universe of the newspaper. Some questions instigate and lead us to propose the research, among them: How are such relationships presented in their chronic-tales? Which speeches passed by the family institution? Which female and male images are represented in his work? How did the author conceive journalism and his way of writing? Our hypothesis is that the writer, revealing through social representations the urban context of his time, captured through his lens, the "little things" of daily life such as urban practices related to cases of adultery, that were critisised by the strong sexual morality emanating from the discourses that passed by the family. The focus of the research is to understand the social implications of Nelson Rodrigues writing and his image as a journalist of daily life, and understand the wide impact of his textual universe. His popularity comes from the sensitive incomparable wit for portraying facts inherent in everyday life and thus he gained wide prominence in the society of his time, but also he gained labels as immoral writer. We try to approach a rich period in the composition of his journalistic universe, in view of the importance of the author as an intellectual linked to the social tensions of his time, and promote a less narrow view of his work in the contemporaneity. The purpose of the research is to penetrate in the vast and exciting social imaginary field produced by literary narrative of Nelson Rodrigues and social representations of everyday life. We will have as main documentary corpus the work in prose A vida como ela é ... O homem fiel e outros contos that were selected and published by the writer and critic Ruy Castro, and which originally were published in his daily post ―A vida como ela é ...‖ in Samuel Wainer s Última Hora newspaper during the years 1951-1961. |
