Ensino de Ciências nos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental uma proposta didático-pedagógica sobre coleta seletiva de resíduos sólidos

Resumo: The theme of this research is Environmental Education (EE) in the specificity of the selective collection of solid waste developed with the 5th grade of elementary school. The aim of the research was to motivate the students to participate in confrontation of the issue of solid wastes and for that it was elaborated and applied a pedagogical sequence about the subject. This research is justified due to the lack of specific methodologies for the approach of this topic at schools. It is a qualitative research, a case study and involved the teacher and 25 students, between 09 and 12 years old in a public local school in Uberlandia/MQ in the year of 2015. The period of the pedagogical sequence application totaled 12 hours/lesson that were organized in six steps. For the interpretation of the activities developed by the students it was created four categories of analysis. 1. Environmental consciousness, 2. Conceptual comprehension, 3. Relation with everyday life and 4. Reflection. In front of the results founded it indicates the pertinence of the pedagogical sequence elaborated and applied as a methodological option in the implementation of EE in the initial years of elementary education. It is suggest the elaboration of pedagogical sequences for all years of basic education and that contemplate various topics of EE.
