Resumo: Organizations have increasingly realized the importance of following the market and being attentive to the innovations that are emerging, to the point of using them as something beneficial for their business. In this work, the use of the Design Research method, combined with agile practices and related tools, will be presented and have been applied in an innovative and dynamic environment, with the objective of create solutions that generated greater results and satisfaction for the company, in a way that solve current problems and enable future business strategics. Thus, this study aimed to analyze and describe tools that contributed to application and development, in addition to proposing a method based on a different combination of these practices, resulted in an ideal innovative solution, aligned with the concept of Smart Spaces. For the proposition of the method capable of supporting the development of innovative solutions, the Design Research technical procedure was used. The development of this method was applied at company “X”, so that all planning of creation and validation of propositions was built with the target audience, going through stages such as in-depth interviews, personas creation, ideation, etc., during a period of three months, reaching the main needs and expectations of the user.
