Resumo: | This work had as objective to check the sudoriparal glands and epiderm histomorphometry on the distal, medium and proximal parts of the nelore and mestice scrotum skin, in order to better understand the male defense system under high temperature environments. Scrotum skin fragments had been collected from 10 mestice animals (Red Angus x Nelore) and 10 from nelore breed, from the distal, medium and proximal parts. Afterwards, the fragments were conditioned in 10% tamponed formol solution. The material had been prepared for conventional light microscopy, put in a paraffin block and transversally cut. It has been made sequenced cuts (5um thickness) from each block. On each "blade" two cuts had been put, and soon after, desparafinized and colored with hematoxilin-eosin. The sweat glands were histomorphometrically evaluated by measures of the epithelial length at the bottom of the glandular portion, glands length, duct length, glandular duct diameter, density and the skin thickness. All the histological cuts were been analyzed through digitalized images obtained from a Olympus Triocular BX40 microscope connected to a Oly-200 camera, on connection with a PC station via Data Translation 3153 digitalizer board. The images have been created with HL image 97 program. Tukey tests have been applied to check the data distribution behavior. On the experimental conditions, it has been concluded that exists different histomorphometric patterns, in agreement with the studied variables, breed and proximal, medium and distal portions from testicular tissue, being that the zebu presented less density, epithelium thickness and glandular overall length and diameter, in comparison with mestice bovine. |
