Resumo: The experience of the LGBTQIAP+ group (Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transsexuals, Transgenders, and Travestites, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, Pansexual, and other sexual orientations and gender identities) in space is diverse, conflictual, and detrimental to their existence. The social spaces of the group, in addition to being leisure spaces, are arenas of struggle, resistance, cultural formation, and interaction among its members. The spaces they occupy undergo constant changes due to advances and setbacks in rights, as well as the ongoing dynamics of urban space (re)production. Therefore, the aim of this work is to analyze the spatiality of LGBTQIAP+ social spaces in Uberlândia. To achieve this, specific objectives were proposed, including the identification of group social spaces, understanding the social and cultural elements that characterize these spaces, and investigating their spatial distribution. Bibliographies, studies, and data from governmental and non-governmental organizations were consulted, along with information gathered from local and national newspapers, articles, and field surveys. The methodology involved participatory observation, emphasizing equality between the researcher and the researched group. The identification of these places relied on social networks, local guides, online newspapers and magazines, and informal conversations with members of the group, resulting in the identification of 25 places. Recognizing the variety of spaces, three metrics were used to form a typology: the attending public, the practices occurring in them, and whether the space is fixed or seasonal. The research revealed that Uberlândia is attractive to the experiences of this group, given the number of social spaces identified. The spaces are spread across various neighborhoods, with the majority concentrated in two areas: the Center and Santa Mônica. These areas represent distinct forms of sociability. In the Center, there is a greater presence of white, cisgender, and heteronormative gays, reflecting social, economic, and cultural elements that resonate with this group. In contrast, Santa Mônica exhibits greater diversity among its attendees.
