This study aims to understand the Eriocaulaceae of Serra da Canastra under the morphological, taxonomic and biogeographical aspects. In Chapter 1 we realized the flora of Eriocaulaceae for Serra da Canastra, a fundamental study for the knowledgeof the diversity of the family in the region. In this chapter, a field survey was made in herbarium, the specimens were identified, all species were described and included in an identification key, planks and distribution maps of the species in Serra da Canastra were provided. In Chapter 2 we tried to understand the complete distribution of the species that occur in Serra da Canastra, through modeling of distribution, to verify how they are influenced notably by the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest biomes and to evaluate the connections with the other Campo Rupestre regions.
