Resumo: | Conductive polymers have conjugated double bond in its structure, having a wide variety of applications as biosensors, sensors, electrochromic devices, batteries, etc.. In this work polymers derived from 2-hydroxybenzoic acid (2-HBA) acid and 2-hydroxyphenylacetic acid (2-HPA) by electrochemical and chemical means have been synthesized. By chemical polymerization a significant amount of material was obtained, compared to the electrochemical route, that produces films on the surface of an electrode and this film is difficult to remove. This material was characterized by spectroscopic analysis as fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and the ultraviolet to visible (UV-Vis), X-ray diffraction (XRD) region by thermal analysis [thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential thermal analysis (DTA) and electrochemical analyzes These results indicate the structure of the polymers formed, which indicate the appearance of characteristic ether groups and carboxylic acid groups in the polymer chain. Based on the experimental procedure and the results of Polymer characterization was proposed mechanism for polymerization by chemical means. |
