Microssimulação para avaliação de desempenho operacional da duplicação de uma rodovia: caso da BR-365

Resumo: As there is no reference data that represent the need for transmute in multilane of a highway in Brazilian legislation, studies that justify this need are necessary. Thus, this paper aims to provide justification to verify the operational improvement of a Brazilian highway, considering its transmute in multilane. For this, the TSIS and HCS + computational softwares were used to perform the analysis of the effectiveness of the duplication. The highway under study is BR-365 in the stretch between the cities of Patos de Minas and Uberlândia. Traffic studies were carried out on several sub-streches of the highway and in order to quantify the improvement obtained with duplication, the study was simulated in order to obtain the conditions of trafficability of the vehicles in the current road (two lanes) and after this, considering the transmute in multilane throughout the section and thus, the new conditions of trafficability of the vehicles were obtained. We used mean and maximum traffic volumes of the days surveyed in the simulations. With the two lane highway, the simulations resulted in service levels "B", "C" and "D" in the TSIS program and service levels "C" and "D" in the HCS + program. Simulating the transmute in multilane highway, it was found that the highway operates at service level "A" for all traffic volumes in both computer programs. As a significant improvement in the conditions of traffic of vehicles in the BR-365, the transmute in multilane of the highway is justified by the need to improve the conditions of traffic of the users.
