Resumo: This research is to analyze the musical art of the Brazilian singer Raul Seixas, since his collaboration with writer Paulo Coelho, during de years from 1973 to 1978. From the work of Raul Seixas, relevant points are approached to the historiography of Brazilian music, mainly regarding the issue of called \"evolutionary line . The perspective of this study is to think about musical career of the artist, in which he states is not part of any political party or even cultural / musical movement, criteria employed by historians that fall somewhere in these. Therefore, Raul Seixas, allege not belong to evolutionary line of popular Brazilian music, in the same time that is possible put him in equality and dissent regarding musical movements as Tropicália or even MPB. Therefore, it is necessary to understand his art as something that is not tied to a specific \"historical context\", but, beyond, featuring its relevance in national music. Furthermore, the criterion of framing the work of Raul as \"counterculture\" is conceived in this work as \"molecular revolution\" in reference to analysis of Félix Guattari. Thus, from the research made on the work of singer Raul Seixas, we realize the importance of its aesthetic contribution to the history of music in Brazil.
