Resumo: | This study aims to measure and analyze the variation of temperature and cutting forces in a drilling process, establish the relationship between the energy involved in the whole process and heat generated. For this, the present study has designed and built a calorimeter, made of PVC and Technyl, to facilitate the study. After construction of the calorimeter, thermocouples were used conventional K-type, coupled to the equipment Agilent, which is instructed to make acquisition of the temperature variation at the time of drilling. For measurement of the shear stress, it used a rotational Kistler dynamometer. It used specimens cast gray iron and high-speed steel drill, with a diameter of 10.0mm (φ = 10.0mm). The variation of heat generated as well as the variation of torque observed at the time of drilling were presented in graphs and discussed as the proposed mathematical calculations. |
