This dissertation has the main objective to analyze the distinction of the use of the slang in blogs when divulged by the means of communication, especially in the Internet. It is undisputed the influence of the Internet in the diverse human activities of the contemporary world, therefore practically all the aspects of our lives are influenced by the technological development. Thus, the internet take on a primordial role in the spreading of the slang providing a bigger acceptability in some sectors of the society. This way, the presence of the slang in the blogs has contributed for an increasing acceptance and use on the part of the society and its consequent distinction. In this direction, this work intends to show how the slang is treated in the electronic dictionaries of language Aurélio XXI (1999) and Houaiss (2001). The use marks that are used to treat the present linguistic variation in the dictionaries constitute a considerable and serious problem. The divergences in the use of the marks slang in the dictionaries are clear mainly due to incorporation of these vocables to the daily language of speakers. Thus, the spreading of the slang by means of the internet contributes for an increase of acceptability and use for all and any speaker in the most diversified situations. Of this form, the slang vocables lose their characterization of slang becoming common vocables.
