Resumo: | Snake venoms are a complex mixíure of toxic proteins with capacity to cause in a victim local effecls such as oedema, necrosis, haemarrhage and systemic effects cliaraclerised mainly by disturbances in bemostatic balance. The purpose of this work was to verify the inhibition of some toxic elfects of tlie venom from Bolhrops neuwiedi pauloensis (PB) by lhe vegetal extract from Casearia mariquilensis (EV) (Flacourtiaceae). Leaves from the vegetal were collected in the months of march and september, washed, crushed with waler and fíltered. After tliat the liquid part was cenlrifuged for 20 minutes, the floating was removide, lyophilized and the extract obtained was stored at -20°C. The essays of inhibition were made in diíferenl propotions of PB/EV (m/m). The phospholipse activity (PLA2) essayed with tlie yolk of egges as a substrale was tesled with EV from months of march and september coinbined with the venom in the proportion of 1/10 and immediately analysed or incubated for an hour. In every eexperimental condition the percentage of inhibition was approxímately 40%. All the following experimentos were made with the extract from march wliere venom and extract coinbined were immediately essayed. The inhibition of the coaguJating activity was slaíistically important (test t) only when made in the proportion of 1/10 (PB/EV). The inhibition of hemorrhagic activity was also visible by the decrease of the hemohagic halo, when venom and extract wre combined in tlie proportion of 1/3. The blood coagulation from animais35 ministered wilh venom «and extract (group test) and only with venoin (positive control) was very affected in relation to tlie animais wliich received salt/or extract (negative control). Statistically the results obtained for group test, positive and negative control are different (p<0,05). Wlien the fíbrinogen plasmatic from these animais, whose time of coagulalion time were altered, was dosed it was observed a decreased in its concentration; but when venom and extract were combined in different proportions (1/2,5, 1/5 and 1/10) this concentration increased according to this relation. In fíbrinogenolytic activity, was break of chains Aa and Bfí of fíbrinogen incubated with venom. When venom and extract were mixtured in proportions of (1/2,5, 1/5 and 1/10), was decrease in break of chains of fíbrinogen. A production of antibody in presence or ausence of extract was the same w3hen analised for imunofifusion. The extract aqueous of Cascaria mariqtiitensis was capable of inhibitor the effects toxics of venom of Bolhrops neuwiedi pauloensis and during the process of imunization this venom was partiality inactivated without damage the capacity of the production efíicienty of antibody. |
