Resumo: This paper sims to analyze the experience of the rural workers specialized in sugar cane extraction. The goal is to understand how they develop their life and work relationships. The study was conducted in the city of Itumbiara, Brazil and the information requested from the year of 1970 up to the year 2000. By interviewing the workers this research tries to understand how their lifes developed focusing on the struggle to survive and assure theirs and their family survival. Analyzing the workers narration, it can be observed how was established different forms of coercion and exploration of the worker labor. It was analyzed the survival alternatives and the solidarity developed by the subjects of the present study. The objective is to understand the memories and history generated from the social relations and how the public policies construct and organize them. So this study looks from the perspective of the real person, how they elaborate their experience and how they behave.
