Resumo: | This research, developed in the scope of the Graduate Program in Science and Mathematics Teaching at the Federal University of Uberlândia, with 3rd year students of an Agricultural Technical Course, in the interior of Minas Gerais, aims to acknowledge what they understand, about the concept of area when experiencing planting situations experienced in their study environment. The activities developed were of a teaching and researching character, aiming at the student's learning and the quality of informing his knowledge and new appropriations in the resolution of a triggering situation of learning. It is an intervention research with interpretative analysis of the student's manifestations during the process of analyzing the school's land planted with vegetables, observing its use and proposing a better way of using the land. The analyzes carried out, organized in episodes, show that, when proposing situations before which students feel the need, arising from their experience, to solve them, it can foster the development of theoretical knowledge combined with the context of technical education. |
