Resumo: | In general, the Brazilian medium sized cities are centralized and the central area has great power of attraction of trips because it has most of the urban and social activities. The degree of saturation of the flows in the network and the gradual deterioration that area has been living are reflected in loss of the life quality. This work treats the urban development with the creation of multicentres to make a more balanced distribution of the trips present in the network. The multicentres should be considered in places strategically selected and their respective influence areas considered, for this study, with radiums varying from 1 to 3 km of distance and urban decentralization rate varying from 35 to 65%. With the decentralization process, part of the trips with destination in central area would be contained in the respective multicentre areas of influence that should be stimulated economically to have larger autonomy than the existent situation. It is a long term measure whose effects can be in the attempt of guaranteeing better life quality in the future scenery and, above all, better use of the urban network. The software TransCAD (GIS-T) was used to configure the network and to do analyses of the current and future sceneries. Some tools were used to the conventional 4 steps transportation model and also for the optimization processes in the phase of traffic assignment. Thus, the flow of vehicles will be reduced in the main corridors that access to the central area and it will increase in the areas of influence of the multicentres, which generates smaller level of noise and air pollution, the urban displacements and time of trips will also be smaller generating economical benefits. |
