Resumo: | This work documents and reflects some of the history behind the reinvention of the circus, by means of interviews, memories, gathering of printed news articles, and specific bibliography about Circo do Povo, from Uberaba, MG, itinerant cultural equipment inaugurated in 1983, still working to this day. According to the author’s memory – that entails the scenery of the circustheater’s influence on the imagination of a child living in a small town on the rural side of the triângulo mineiro (Campo Florido), during the late 60’s and early 70’s, and a transformation analysis that the circus experienced after the 70’s, taking the city of Uberaba MG as a base, a study of reflection over the means of artistic expression, teaching and learning of circus art is done. As focus of this research a trajectory analysis is done on the three town artists, that act or acted in Circo do Povo, and which trailed different paths to reach their expertise, amplifying this analysis by comparing what would happen, and happens, on the national field, in this same period.
