Resumo: | On Basic Education, the Sciences of Nature represent the junction of fields of knowledge, just as Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Geosciences. Thus, the science teaching is taught on basic education early in first grades of Elementary School. By many factors like the faculty professional qualification and all the content’s characteristics itself, it is easy to perceive bigger focus on Biology’s specific subjects, what ends up by limiting the broader understanding about the scientific knowledge. In Brazil, the responsables for science classes at the last years of Elementary School are the Biologic Science graduates. Meanwhile, analyzing the documents that conduct the process shows that, for exemple, the chemical concepts are taught on superficial way and almost restrict to few subjects. Accordingly, is undeniable the need of an additional formation of those professionals with, for instance, courses of continuous formation that allows the development of some kind of authonomy also in other fields of science. Therefore, the analysis of the didactic books approved by PNLD, for this schooling level, have shown a predominance by subjects and conceps linked to Biology, while Chemistry shows up on few chapters, many of those times, not allowing the deepening knowledge of the concepts. In view of this perspective, an extension course was offered to the graduates in Biologic Science, with a goal of discussion the basic Chemistry’s concepts and, at the same time, provide reflection about the difficulties of teaching and learning relating to those concepts. The discussions in each meet, as the activities performed by the participants enabled to realize the need of increase the learning of basic contents. Before this point, an educational product was elaborated with purpose of contribue with the improoving on Science’s teaching in Elementary School, subsidizing the teacher with a support didatic material that makes easier the learning of the concepts linked to atomic theory, to materials' properties and chemical transformations. |
