Resumo: | This research has as its theme the narrative interactions as social practices of interest groups in the process of a mineral activity implantation. The proposed research problem is: how the study of interest groups’ narratives contribute to the dialogue between strategy as a practice and the Stakeholder Theory. Considering the pluralistic context of the implantation of a phosphate mineral exploration plant in the city of Patrocínio, Minas Gerais, the goal of the research is to analyze the changes, the permanence and the relational tensions in the narratives of the stakeholders, seen as strategic practices. The Strategy as Practice Theory defines that strategy is a social construction capable of transforming organizations, individuals and context. Based on the foundations of the Stakeholder Theory, the research adopts a postmodern perspective in which interest groups interact in networks, creating superior value from the mutuality, assuming a political role that leads to benefits for society. In relation to methodological procedures, narrative research was used as a guide for the collection and analysis of data. Field research was conducted based qualitative and longitudinal approach to data. For data collection, the techniques used were documentary research in physical and digital media, records of public hearings conducted and semi-structured interviews. The analysis pointed to six relevant interest groups: the entrepreneurial organizations, the public power, education, the environment, the dwellers of the implantation area and the productive sector. The results highlight the role of these relational tensions as elements that constrain and enable change and permanence showing the dynamic nature of intra and inter-stakeholder interactions. This research shows the dialogue between a political perspective of the stakeholders and the perspective of strategy that studies practitioners' practices is possible and can bring benefits to both, in addition to expanding the field of organizational strategy studies in a postmodern dimension. |
