The research presents reflections on theater direction, focusing on two perspectives: the elaboration of a definition for the idea of "Scenic Universe" and its possible relation with the scenic poetics of Emilio Garcia Wehbi. It seeks to relate referentials from different areas of knowledge - such as psychology, literature, philosophy - and to appropriate key issues of these areas for the theater by developing them from analyzes of examples present in Wehbi's work. The study is traversed by semantic and written language issues, but focuses on the theater work from the director's point of view, passing through the fields of play and the scenic event, the voluntary suspension of disbelief, the elaboration of devices, the morphology of the scene, violence, spontaneity and systematization of the creative process.
