Resumo: | Over the years, it has been found the large accumulation of papers in corporations, whatever the sector, business, trade, judiciary, hospital or even in government agencies, and this volume is increasing every day generating resource consumption and environmental impact. The GED is a suite of technologies (hardware and specific software) that enables intelligent management of any document or file of an organization, originally electronic or converted to digital form. Still, the GED is a solution to organize and structure in electronic form documents that require constant search and view the information stored in them. These documents can be from many different backgrounds such as: paper, text files, spreadsheets, microfilm, image, CAD, etc. This paper presents to the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences of Unifesp, a GED solution, as well as suggests its implementation, with the prerogative that the GED is a technological proposal to make e-business a reality, not only considering the problems of storage and retrieval of information, but It may be an important agent in the understanding and perception of knowledge, becoming a facilitator in making decisions based on knowledge. |
